一直以來，部份內地雜誌中，間中會看到一些本地雜誌的影子，甚至可以讀到一些曾於香港刊出的版面、文章，此不為奇，本地流行消閒雜誌和內地雜誌各有長短，內地不少書刊為求增加可讀性，會經過合法途徑向向香港雜誌「買稿」，所以有時看內地雜誌覺得「內容不知在那裡讀過？」，一點都不出奇。

可是，近來內地新出現了一本「疑似」《新假期》的刊物，喚作《玩家旅游》，當然是沒有向本刊買過稿，其編輯方法、版面、layout、用色、欄目分類、以至每版小小的icon，竟然都和《新假期》有百份之九十九相似！！！！

最可惡的是，本人及一班同事以無數心血、前後花了個多兩個月時間籌備、曾刊於2007年8月20日《新假期》415期 p.20 - p.44 的《新假期》8周年專輯，竟然給這本《玩家旅游》因利成便，改動一點就變成自己的「玩樂又一年專輯」，於2007年12月25日038期刊出！！

《新假期》8周年專輯全文分八部分，題目都是以「1-8」的數字貫穿，如前文有「暢遊四方」、「一馬當先」等等，以下兩part是講及編輯部八年來經典事蹟的「編輯部七大奇蹟」，及為慶祝八周年、將玩樂品味帶給所有人、邀得大量城中名人、明星、藝術家、文化人及全港市民參與的大型活動「amazing 8」，看來《玩家旅游》並沒有如此功夫，是故沒有這兩部份。
